Why do I need multiple versions of Media Encoder?

The CC previously installed ME 2021 15.1 and today CC installed additionally 2020 14.9. Why do I need both of them? Should I remain only with 15.1 and uninstall the 2020 14.9?

We appreciate you writing in. You need AME 2020 only if you're using it to encode projects from another Adobe application version 2020. If that is not the case, you can proceed with uninstalling the unwanted version.
