Hi - I need to know if the Adobe Media Encoder supports WebM files, and if it can convert a WebM file (of at least 250mb) to a standard video file, such as mp4 or Quicktime.

Thank you!

Fnord Software has created free plug-ins for both WebM and Ogg.  You can find more information about their WebM plug-in on their blog: http://fnordware.blogspot.com/2015/04/webm-for-premiere.html You can find more information about their Ogg plug-in here: https://github.com/fnordware/AdobeOgg

Why doesn't Adobe just make the codecs so we don't have to dance around this issue?

Thank you! Although… The first one (WebM) is provided "as is"and the second one (OGG) is a beta, so very likely shouldn't be used in production. Thus, this reply shouldn't actually be marked a solution. These are very widely used formats I can't believe AME can't export.

Would someone at Adobe answer this? I find this very silly for a purpose built media encoder....

This really isn't the solution.

That is for PREMIER PRO - this is not for Media Encoder.

The insrtuctions are scant, if not cryptic.

This has been an issue for YEARS now.

Where is the Adobe Media Encoder plugin to allow conversion to OGG?

Please quit sending us to the GitHub link for Premiere Pro.

How?
ReadMe mention a plug-in folder to copy the "Ogg.prm" file, but  I can't find it (I'm using Adobe CC).

We also need to encode lots of webm files, that's why we use a professional cloud service.

https://zencoder.com/en/

This solved our problem and simplified our workflow on the top of it.
