Good evening

I am having the following error message 'Adobe media encoder cannot access the preference folder'

This is because it has defaulted to a location I don't have location to.

How can I set within the application/regedit a different location for my preference folder.

Current location is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\ Can I change this to a different drive or location?

It should have created that "location" on installation, though it might be "hidden" folder/file that may not show unless you've gone into the Control Panel for file/folder issues and set it to show hidden files.

In Win10, that's in the Control panel, File Explorer Options icon, "View" tab.

If that location isn't there, uninstall AME using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool, reboot, then re-install fresh from the CC Desktop app.
