Hello all! Is it possible to convert a Quicktime with 5.1 SMPTE (L, R, Lfe, Ls, Rs) to stereo audio in Media Encoder? I tried converting an Avid "Same as Source" QT with 5.1 SMPTE audio to a QT with stereo audio in Media Encoder, and it grabbed my L and R audio channels and ditched the C, Lfe, Ls and Rs. D'oh!

I can export from Avid in stereo to begin with, but I was surprised Media Encoder didn't do a proper 5.1 to stereo conversion. I see in the audio settings that when you select "stereo" it makes your source channels 1-2, which I am certain is the root of my particular problem, but there doesn't seem to be a way to change it.

System Specs:

Mac Pro 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon
48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC
Running OS X Yosemite v. 10.10.5

Avid Media Composer 8.6.3
Media Encoder CC 2017
