Hey  i edited  in a 1920 by 1080 29.97  setting and I have   to convert a file to the following specs

format: MXF

bit rate: 30 mbps

Resolution: 720 by 480

aspect ration 4 x 3

Frame rate: 29.97

Chroma forma: 4.2.0

bit depth: 8 bits

scan type: interlaced

video standard: NTSC

I noticed that when i put the Format MXF OP1a and Present IMX 30 NTSC  in media encoder, it automatically goes to 720 by 486 and I can't change.

Not sure what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi jeremyd,

Thanks for reaching out. The NTSC D1 broadcast standard is 720x486 and that is the reason you are unable to make changes to this preset's resolution. You can refer to this discussion: CreativeCOW

Though the responses are old but they are applicable in this scenario.

Thanks,

Shivangi
