Don't use the presets. Just install the package, then in your export settings, choose Format - WebM. Works in CC2020.

You can install this free third party plug-in to enable the export of Webm files:

https://www.fnordware.com/WebM/

Thanks Jeff.  Is this compatible for AE 2020?  I've downloaded the Mac however when i try do bring the presets into AE I get a message saying 'Preset could not be imported.  No exporter found for this preset' .

Also noticed an OGG Theora pluggin, how do I install this?  Would you know?  Again for AE 2020.  I followed the instruction but the paths don't exist.  All i'm seeing is apllication/Adobe Media Encoder 2020/ . Within this path all im seeing is

Adobe Media Encoder 2020 and Uninstall Adobe Media Encoder 2020

As the site says, it is compatible with Premiere and Media Encoder. Since you can export your AE projects into Media Encoder, you can use it that way.

The installation and usage of the Theora plugin can be found on the authors GitHub: https://github.com/fnordware/AdobeOgg

Sorry Jeff wasn't meant to say AE.  Just purely media encoder.

as mentioned before, presets are not working.  When bringing the presets into media encoder i get this message

'Preset could not be imported.  No exporter found for this preset' .

are you using this on 2020?  These presets were released in 2015.

Hey, did you ever figure out how to install the Theora plugin?

I tried per the developers instructions and Catalina freaked out on me, saying it couldnt be verified, then trying to delete the plugin and failing.

Now I can't render anything out of AME. Whoops!

From their readme.txt:

Installation
============

Copy the plug-in to the shared MediaCore directory:

Mac:
Theora Premiere.bundle -> /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CSX/MediaCore

Win:
Theora.prm -> C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\CSX\MediaCore

Replace "CSX" with your version. For the latest Premiere Pro CC release, it will be "7.0".

Usage
=====

When installed, you'll be able to import am .ogv file into Premiere. The playback functionality is currently very poor though.

Go to File > Export > Media and choose Theora as the format to encode a Theora file.

Thanks, those are the instructions I followed. Unfortunately, MacOS Catalina seems to refuse to let it load and then I could not render anything (even other codecs). I ended up having to reinstall PPro and AME.

For the time being, I'm just converting to Theora through VLC. Quality isn't great, but at least it's not locking my system up.

This didn't work for me either, so I went into Media Encoder, right clicked >> Show Package Contents, and pased the ogg bundle file into the Plug-ins folder and it worked great.
