Media Encoder won't open (Kernel Panics)

I just got a new Macbook Pro (2020) with the M1 chip. After Effects renderer works perfectly fine but Media Encoder either pulls up a kernel panic/crash report or will show up in my dock before disappearing/closing. Is there a fix for this? I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling.

Hi Zyiah5E83,

Sorry to hear about this. Have you tried resetting app preferences & checked if it's helping. Also, are there any third-party plugins installed?

Thanks,

Sumeet
