Description I want to create a Media Encoder preset that includes a generic or custom Rec.709 LUT for proxy creation when ingesting to PP, but this applies to other situations, too.

Here's what I want to do: I want to use the proxy-creation feature in PP, and burn in a log-to-rec709 LUT to the proxies. There are standard proxy-creation presets in PP (none of whi, as well as the ability to use AME's Add Preset button to create new custom presents.

One or the features in the Add Presets dialog is a dropdown to apply a "Lumetri LUT/look" Several LUTs are listed, which appear to be a subset of what is available in Lumetri in PP. All of the available LUTs have a "SL" at the beginning. Missing LUTs include the Arri Alexa and Amira technical (input) LUTs designed to convert Arri log footage to Rec709.

Problems:

1. None of the luts in the dropdown are able tp convert generic Log to rec709. They are all "looks" that expect rec709 input. Useless.

2. Other standard installed LUTs (both "basic"/technical, and "creative) also don't show up here, even thought they are visible in PP/Lumetri

3. The "select" option in the dropdown does not work to install a new LUT

4. Using the new manual install instructions: library/application support/adobe/common/LUTs doesn't work either.

I'm surprised that a basic function like "add a LUT to proxies" doesn't work properly. ANYONE working with Log footage and  proxies needs this.

How do I get this to work? What am I missing?

Adobe CC 2019 (symptoms are the same in 2018), tested on two systems, one running macOS Sierra and one running High Sierra.

I ran into the same problem using AME. I would choose a LUT while setting up the preset and it would list "none", but I found out when I tried the export with the preset that the preset was still adding the LUT even though it didn't display the name. Not sure that's always the case, but maybe that's what's happening for you?
