Smart Rendering In Media Encoder / Premeire - What Affects Whether It Is Used

I read this article about the smart rendering capability in ME / Premiere: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/smart-rendering.html

What I'm getting from this is that if I have ProRes 422 HQ as my source codec and as long as I match the export settings of codec, frame size, frame rate, and bit rate to my source file, it will not recompress the file when exporting? It will be, in a sense, a "lossless" export?

To confirm, my workflow often involves changing the following settings on files:

  • Field Order
  • Pixel Aspect Ratio (labelled as "Aspect" in Media Encoder, assume accompanying "Stretch to Fill" source scaling mode)
  • In / Out Point (sometimes by chopping up a file in a Premiere sequence)

Can somebody from Adobe please confirm changing these settings and only these settings will not result in a recompress of my ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes 4444 masters?
