Hey,

I've been trying to create proxies for 2 camera file: Eos R & GH5. I start the process and everything runs smooth but all of the sudden the program just stops creating the proxies. It doesn't crash, it even gives me the option to pause like it is still encoding, I can go through other folders, I can do everything in it. But it won't continue creating the proxies. I've seen other people with the same problem last year but no solution. Could anybody help me out? I'm using a powerful ish windows computer that never gave me any problems in the past and I'm using the laterest version of both softweres!

Low hanging fruit: can you confirm you have enough free space to save the proxies? Are you transcoding these directly from a camera card, possibly overloading your USB bus?

Yess I do have space on my ssd where all the footage is stored, but I just
noticed that my usb is all of the sudden disconnecting and connecting
again. It does that a few times but AME does not stop encoding. After a
while about half way through creating all the proxies it just stops
encoding like half way through one of the clips! Ill try other usb ports on
my computer and ill get back to you!! Thank you so much for replying

Another thing to try: bring all the footage local before transcoding. Takes more time and more SSD space, but doing this might get you through it. I hope changing USB ports helps but in all honestly, they're all connected to the same bus so you might need to bring em local.
