So, as I'm using this now (versus previous uses) it seems to be 'muddying' the audio some when I download the file. Like it sounds great, and exactly the way I want it one the website app.
But when I download it, I get a somewhat noticeably lower quality audio file.
Yes, there is a difference between the v1 and v2 output as well I've noticed. I just tested v1/v2 output with the same 256kbps mp3 file. both spit me out roughly the same size, filetype, and bitrate, with slight audio differences.
Is there a way, that I can't seem to find, to alter the output Bitrate? The files all seem to be 63/64 kbps now. I have some previous ones where it was 96 on output, which sound basically identical to the cleanup done in the website. But I can't get it to output that for me now (and probably for months, was just trusting for a few months, but I can tell a difference now)
But, right before posting this I also did a 48k hz, 24bit wav file, to test this out with.
I still can't set anything for the bitrate or file type, but I do get a much better quality file in return when using a very large wav file. I ended up with a 55mb file, that was 10 mins long, still in wav format, and 768kbps.
I guess now I'm ultimately wondering now if there is something I can find to tell me where I can change the settings for output? And if not, is there a 'rough' conversion chart so I know what the 'max file spec' file I can feed into this is, and what the expected output will be ?

My tip is: don't upload an MP3. For some reason, it always outputs as 64kbps, which sucks. And no, there's no way to edit that.
If you upload a WAV, it will output a WAV. Also, if you output an AAC, it will also output a WAV.
So, that may be your solution if the problem is file size: convert to AAC, chuck it on Podcast Enhance, and output it. You'll get a great-sounding WAV file.

Hey Phil,
Yeah, I'm with you. A higher quality wav in, does equal a better quality wav out during the whole podcast ai enhancement process.
Which is what I want, ultimately (though now I gotta deal with such larger file sizes both ways).
I guess I really want to be able to alter it's bitRate, etc, etc, in the Adobe Podcast Enhance, so I don't have to take another wave file, and then convert it to a more pod friendly 128kbps mp3 (or whatever you fine peeps like to use in your own pods). Just more steps. Plus, not having this documented as 'This Input = This Output' is a bit frustrating as you have to do some trial and error. Which you and I have done, and reached similar conclusions.
Eh, it's early on. I'm sure they'll keep updating this product to make it better and better as time goes on.
* And maybe they'll take this into consieration... 😜
