Bugs in Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant

New Here ,
Aug 19, 2025 Aug 19, 2025

Anyone else experiencing incessecent bugs while trying to use Acrobat AI Assistant.

I'm a paid user and yet I've not been able to use this assistant even once in the last few months.

It selectively works only on the browser but not on my desktop app.

Takes several minutes to process any document and ends up with the same "Error" screen. Receive the same error across my phone and laptop apps.

Why put out a feature when it doesn't work? I'm sure there are tight deadlines to catchup with the AI race, but atleast build something which works before rolling it out to the end-users.

Really spoiled my experience with the constant loading, processing and errors.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

If the Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant is throwing an "An error occurred" message, it could be due to various reasons, including server issues, file problems, or software glitches. Troubleshooting steps include checking your internet connection, ensuring Acrobat is updated, restarting the app, and potentially repairing the installation (Win Only) -> Go to Help > Repair installation and reboot the device.

As seen from your screenshot, you are using an outdated version of the Acrobat application. Please update the application to the latest version 25.01.20630 go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi @Amal.

I also have the same problem now. I am getting errors in all PDF document (in browser and app) using 4 different laptops and 1 phone. I already tried logging out and in, checked the connection, restarted everything. I have a corporate account. Im using Adobe Acrobat 25.1.20643.0. The error: "Something went wrong. Please try again". Is this a bug or server error?

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble.

Would you mind sharing the version of the OS (Win/Mac/Android/iOS) you are using? Also, a small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs would be very helpful for more clarity.

Hi,

I have the same issue, except that I don't see any error message popping up. I have access to my generative AI assistant on the browser, but not on my MacBook software (which worked properly until this morning...). Looks like it works properly as well on my iPad. Can you help please to solve the situation ?
