Feature request: slide to select multiple

A small request to improve the app. When in "select multiple mode" how about having the area above the checkboxes allow for sliding your finger across instead of having to tap each one individually? The title area must allow for scrolling obviously, but the left most column that has the checkboxes should not scroll the list of scans but should allow a sliding selection as in iOS photos for example.
