I upgraded my Samsung phone in January to the new Galaxy 10. Sometime after I realised that the app icon for Adobe Scan had changed. Now, at EOFY I find that all my expense receipts prior to the phone upgrade have disappeared. I have checked in the Cloud and there is nothing there. How do I recover those receipts so that I can process my tax claim?

It is not possible those scans will get deleted automatically.
Either you have deleted those manually or you have now used different Adobe ID to log-in on your app on new device. If you think of a different Adobe ID that you may have used try signing with that or check on Cloud and see if you can found those scans.
Sadly, otherwise, there is no option to recover those scans.
