Hallo,
Martin Lehnhoff
Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
It sounds like the app may be referencing cached or previously indexed file names during the initial naming step, especially if you've already deleted the older file and are still getting a "filename already exists" message.
This can sometimes happen if:
The app's local cache hasn't fully updated after a file deletion.
The file still exists in the "Recently Deleted" folder or cloud storage (like Adobe Document Cloud or your devic

If this is scanned from your Mobile App, it's probably based on data saved by your phone.
Try clearing your phone's data cache.

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
It sounds like the app may be referencing cached or previously indexed file names during the initial naming step, especially if you've already deleted the older file and are still getting a "filename already exists" message.
This can sometimes happen if:
The app's local cache hasn't fully updated after a file deletion.
The file still exists in the "Recently Deleted" folder or cloud storage (like Adobe Document Cloud or your device's storage), which might prevent reusing the exact same name right away.
There's a syncing delay between local and cloud storage, causing outdated metadata to persist temporarily.
Renaming after saving (as you discovered) bypasses this check, since the file already exists and the system treats it differently.
To help with this, try to:
Clear the app cache (available in your device's app settings).
Check the “Recently Deleted” or Trash folder in the app or cloud storage and permanently delete any lingering files with the same name.
Ensure the app is fully synced with cloud storage if you're connected to the internet.
If the issue persists even after clearing out deleted files and cache, please let us know what device and app version you're using so we can look into it further.
