I'm moderatly technical but am stumped with the pieces realted to scanning from HP 8620 to Acrobat.  I scan many docs per day to PDF's to cloud store and recently either HP changed the interface, MS changed something or Adobe did and I get different User Interface than a few weeks ago.  This is also not effecitnt and will not accept multi page scans.  I would like first an understanding of the components of the work flow then some guidance on where I could get really detailed answers... I have searched and found only simple "here's how to scan" type of articales.

Drapersa66, Have used Acrobat XI successfully for years but just recently it stopped "seeing" the HP scanner. I spent some 25 hours and four telephone calls to HP trying to resolve this. In the end, HP was very nice but had no solution to what they (correctly) said was an Adobe problem. I have previously found Adobe impossible to deal with, disavowing all culpability for flaws in their products. Only solution was for me to buy new Acrobat 2020 at nearly $200/year! Obviously a glitch was introduced into Adobe's older software and Adobe did not fix it. Did you find a better solution?

Jim, I'm sorry to hear about the hours and other paths you've had to take.  I finally fixed my scanner problem (took a few hours) by downloading new HP printer drivers and doing a "new" / clean install for the printer.  This got me back to where I wanted to be and all works well now.

I don't know why this went off the rails since it was not new software nor hardware but guess that is just the way things happen.  Hope you were able to solve your challenge.

Steve
