At some point, I'm guessing I've done something to some of my scanned documents which has resulted in the auto cropped areas being discarded. Not all my documents though, just some of them. I had been planning to scan a batch (several documents of over 25 pages each - no OCR required) and then work through the files to fix the auto cropping. Last night I could do this. Today I've gone to open one of the files I'm yet to process and it's been converted to black and white PDF and areas outside of the auto crop range have been discarded. This is problematic as the auto crop has botched a few pages.
When I select to edit the PDF the page color changes to 'auto' (I think), and I can only adjust the crop within the auto crop area - the rest of the original photo is gone... what have I done to trigger that discard (so I can avoid it in future)?
