Changing the role of recipient

Once a contract has been sent out for approval, is it possible to amend the role that you have given to a recipient before it has reached them? For example, I have sent a document to Tom as a signer, but I now need Tom to be a delegate so that he can send it to Mary who is the correct signer.

You can replace the signer with another signer. In the newest version, if you hover over a signer you can choose an alternate signer.
