Hello, we are using adobesign for apartment leases. For various reasons we have to use the setting "sign in any order", even though what we really want is for all tenants to sign first and the rep from our company to sign last.
After clicking the "send" button, I still need to pre-fill some fields on the form. HOWEVER, it requires me to pre-fill AND sign at once. I cant pre-fill without signing. The result is that tenants receive a lease with all the important fields BLANK (like monthly rent, security deposit, move-in date).
How can I pre-fill a template and send it, without also signing first?
Thanks
Hibpwbpw ,
Is it the sequential workflow or the parallel one?
As I mentioned before, you will have to go for the sequential workflow where you need to enter you email address after entering signers email address in the recipient field and then on the set fields to prefill by sender.

Hi Bpwbpw,
Adobe Sign agreements can have fields set up to allow the sender to prefill data into fields before the document is moved for signing.
Please refer to the link below, try these steps and see if it works:
Prefill Agreement fields before sending
Let me know if you need more help.
Thanks,

Hi there, no it isn't working. It is requiring me to pre-fill AND sign AT THE SAME TIME.
I want to pre-fill WITHOUT signing.
See screenshot:
There is no "next" button, no "sign later" button. It is requiring me to sign before moving on.
I tried just closing the browser window, however, then the data that I had pre-filled in the form disappeared:

Hi bpwbpw,
We already had a long discussion on how prefill works in Multiple signers, but I go last thread and over the private message.
Please be informed if there are 3 Signers you will have 3 emails in the recipient field & 3 signature fields on the document assigned specifically to the correct signers. So if you assign the fields correctly signers will automatically be prompted to Sign at that specific field.
And if there are 2 Signed on the document you will have 2 emails in the recipient field & 2 signature fields on the document assigned specifically to the correct signers.
You need to create two library templates one for 3 signers & the other for 2 signer process as Adobe Sign dynamically doesn't adjust the form depending on the number of recipients entered.

Length of discussion is not equal to solved problem.
My question remains unanswered. To re-state: How can I pre-fill a template and send it, without also signing first?
Thank you

Hi bpwbpw
Yes you can prefill a template and send it to the Signers without signing it first. Just make sure the number of recipients in the Reception fields is equal to the number of signature fields on the document.
Participant 1 will be Signer. Fields will be set to "prefill by send" & Participant 2 will be "Myself" and it should be a sequential workflow for Signature process.

I tried to follow your directions, but it is requiring me to sign.
Could you please look at the screenshot that I attached above, and tell me where I need to click in order to get the pre-filled data saved WIHTOUT signing?
Perhaps place a red circle over the part that I am supposed to click...
Thanks
