Every file I have 'Sent for Signature' appears to me as a single page which I then add a signature and date block to before sending.For my purposes, this extra signature block is totally unnecessary and I definitely don't need an extra blank page with a signature on it (it confirms nothing for us). I've looked through my options before and after sending and I can't find the parameter to turn this off anywhere. I myself only need to sign the document. It never shows up until after I send the document. Can anyone help?

Please add the Signature field for all the Signers on the document, double click on the Signature field and make sure it is assigned to the correct recipient.
If you are part of the transaction that add Signature field for yourself also and make sure it is assigned to you by double clicking on it.
Signature block get's added to the end of the document if you have not added Signature field for any of the Signer. So make sure you have added Signature field for the Signers and h
