Ive been attempting to use Adobe XD for the past 3 days, unfortunately I keep getting random crashes which makes working impossible to due to constant loss of progress.  I can perform every action without crash, nothing seems to trigger the crash. The crash comes with 3 Error level events seen in the Administrative Events (Event Viewer).

My GPU is up to date.

Windows is up to date(win 10 anniversary)

Reinstalled Adobe XD

Also having the similar crashing issues but only when i try to open old projects.

After some trial an error to duplicate the issue i have found that i cannot open files that are saved with a color swatch.

https://dex-labs.com/crashlogs/screenshot-of-swatch.jpg

so this file that has no color swatch opens fine:

but this file that has a swatch does not:

I have already sent my crash log to imaderyc @ adobe.com.

I am hoping there is some way to remove the color swatch data from the old files so i can recover my working files form the past few days.

Hi,

I am sorry to here about your crashes. Have you updated to the latest release?

If so, please follow the steps described in previous posts to enable crash log collection. Than, when you experience another crash, please send us the crash dump file. It would help us investigate your issues.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Lavinia

XD on windows is constantly crashing as soon as I try to prototype it shuts after 1-2 actions.  I has only just began today.  As soon as I open document it crashes.  I have updated to latest XD.  Has there been any detection of why?

Hi I am having the same issue with Experience crashing on Windows 10. I have just installed the program and when I open it I get the intro screen, and once I click on anything the program crashes. I am having no issues with any of my other CC programs, only Experience. Is there a fix for this? There are clearly a lot of people here having the same issue.

Regards

Also keeps happening and quite frequently. Can this be made into a priority to get fixed? This is a major pitfall and overall user experience from using XD is not quite in par with the name.

I'm a windows user and was happy to be able to stay because of XD.

Because of these crashes and annoying bugs, I'll be forced to join most of the world designers, to Mac and SKETCH. I cannot tolerate anymore even one crash while I'm working. I want this app to remain running forever just like Photoshop etc.

Project Manager: Make a one-day crash meeting with the entire dev team and nail down this crazy blocking issue, I promise you'll solve it in no time!!!

I'm a windows user (windows 10 latest.) and after the last XD update. the program started crashing very badly, as soon as I start and I start working around after a few seconds.  it crashes. I keep on trying to start again XD sometimes it crashes after launch when I do the first thing, let's say when I just click on the maximize to go full screen. it will crash. sometimes it could work for a minute and when I do anything heavier. like import a larger image. it would crash. or if I zoom in and out to fast.

But yesterday I worked around with XD for hours and it worked great (That was also already after the latest XD update)

Please help asap. this is slowing me down...

LATEST

Hello,

I wanted to update the Intel graphics driver from (23.2.16.4849) to (24.20.100.6136 - Latest) as it seems to be the previous version. However I wasn't able to do that because my computer is Dell XPS 8920 and when I run the exe file it says "the driver being installed is not validated for this computer. please obtain the appropriate driver from manufacturers site" I checked the Dell's support site but the latest driver available is what I already have.

My system specs are below:

OS Name    Microsoft Windows 10 Home Insider Preview

Version    10.0.17692 Build 17692

System Manufacturer    Dell Inc.

System Model    XPS 8920

System Type    x64-based PC

System SKU    07DC

Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

Graphics card:NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 1060 6GB

Ram: 16 MB

5 months later and still crashes, I am lucky if the program opens once in 60 attempts, its a major issue as now I have so many client projects on there. I am now unable to open them it's really becoming a serious issue, feel like moving from Adobe all together now.

And yes I have updated, updated and updated but still, Adobe persist in not fixing what obviously looks like a WIDESPREAD issue across the whole Windows platform, was working perfectly until a February update

My love for adobe keeps making me wait a little longer... Since February and after about 5 update (All updates since then actually). I still couldn't use this app (XD) on Windows 10.

Question is, why did Adobe use that unstable window universal app system to build XD? Even Figma used Electron and so do Microsoft for their text editor (VS Code). Even Microsoft will not use this Universal app whatever to build any serious application that belongs to them (Someone prove me wrong and send me one).

Simply put, you guys don't really want to compile XD for Windows. Ok if I am wrong, it is not too late to turn back. Not able to get one thing right for almost a year is bad for your reputation.

Not sure if this helps or not - but I've found that the only time it crashes for me now, is if I click the desktop preview button whilst it is still saving.

Obviously this is still an issue, but as a quick fix, perhaps Adobe could look into making it more obvious if the file is still saving - currently there is no visual aid (that I've seen?) that shows the saving progress.

We currently do have a file save bar on our Windows platform; can you please confirm in the About box (hamburger > Help > About) what version of the app you're running?
