"Hello everyone, I’ve recently started learning how to use Adobe XD, and I just have a couple of questions to help me clarify things.

  1. Do you think Adobe XD will be discontinued? Is it worth continuing to study it?
  2. To publish a project designed with XD on a web domain, do I just need a plugin?
  3. Are all the publishing plugins paid?"

Thank you!

  1. Do you think Adobe XD will be discontinued?
Xd is in 'Maintenance Mode' which means that Adobe is no longer investing in new features or development.

    2. Is it worth continuing to study it?
There are many companies who still uses it because it is part of the All Apps Access plan. Versus buying other software, it's already part of the plan.

    3. To publish a project designed with XD on a web domain, do I just need a plugin?
You can share your wireframe, mockup and interactive prototypes that you can share with clients or team members.

While some plugins like 'Anima' can help you generate basic HTML/CSS from your XD designs, these often require manual adjustments to function seamlessly as a fully-fledged website. You might be better toff to send your XD prototype to a web developer. They possess the expertise to accurately translate your design vision into a fully functional and optimized website.

  2. Are all the publishing plugins paid?"
Some of the plugins are free, and some are paid. And some no longer work

If you are already an Adobe user, and have access to XD, go ahead and learn it. It will give you some experience. But, eventually, one day, Xd will not be available. In that case, you will need to transition to a new tool, such as an Figma, Penpot, etc
