Android mobile template sizes

Advisor ,

When I open the pre formatted Android phone template art board the art board size I get is 360x900px, but in this size device metrix guide from Material that size is not quoted anywhere? Device Metrics - Material Design

What is the size criteria in XD for documents like this? I know that XD doesn't offer device specific templates (perhaps a good idea actually) but if 360x900 is not on that list, then what is that dimension based on? I see that the metrics list operates with dp and px but in the dp definition I find 300 widths for Samsung mobiles and the closest I get to what I have in the XD template, but the heights are not in correspondence. I thought dp was more about pixel density and px was the actual physical screen size?

There was a thread from a while back where one of our awesome Product Managers provided some information about this, Understanding XD artboard sizes

The following is some recommended reference material:

Learn how to export production-ready assets from Adobe XD to PNG, SVG, JPG, and PDF files.

Hope this helps!

Thanks. I've read trough all the articles and they were interesting, but 360x900px is nowhere to be found in any size metrics guide in those articles either, just a bunch of other resolutions. Beats me.

This is great info—thank you! The standard Android template (e.g. 360×900 px) is especially useful when designing game review banners.

Came across a niche blog  LeagueCriketsAPK that uses these exact template dimensions via Adobe Express to create clean, mobile-friendly visuals for game reviews (schema‑formatted and fast-loading).

Curious—does anyone else here use Adobe Express or XD templates in a similar way for mobile blog graphics or game review layouts?

Interesting that you mentioned Adobe Express I recently tried it for one of my Cricket League articles too.

The 360×900 px format worked perfectly for mobile optimization.

You can check how it turned out here: kricketleague

Totally agree it’s one of the easiest tools for game review visuals.
