Animate in XD

I am a very beginner in XD. I want to animate an Illustrator design. Going to the prototype, I try to connect the two artboards, but the little blue arrow just doesn’t want to stick to the next artboard. Why?

If I accidentally managed to connect the artboards and want to use Time as the trigger, this option is not available. Why again?
