Can You Make a Over Ride Component its Own Master?

Apr 11, 2023 Apr 11, 2023

I created a dropdown button called drop down button 02 and I want another version of this where the first link is a clickable link that opens up a pop up modal / window.

Now I know I can over ride this master component and make the first link a popup link but i would like to make the over ride button its own master component so i can use that as a template for other future projects.

And I dont want to ungroup component and start all over. So is it possible to make the 2nd version of the overide component its own master component? Basically trying to do a save as for the component if that make sense.

View the Component here.

Hi @rubenJr005, as I can't think any way of creating a variant etc of a component, I think I'd add all the functionalities I want to the master component and disable/delete the ones I don't need in instances and I think most designers do it like that in XD. Pleaase feel free to update us if you come up with any other or similar solutions, happy designing!
