Cant drag text files over repeat grid

Community Beginner ,
Apr 25, 2019 Apr 25, 2019

I've been racking my brain over this one.

This has been happening for a while now.

I cant seem to drag text files over a repeat grid in order to change the text.

Tried several types of .txt files and blank XD files... nothing.

Uninstalled/reinstalled XD on my pc... nothing.

Tested the original files on a colleagues pc... and it works! What's up with that?!

Could this be related to my user profile?
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks more like a graphic driver issue to me. Can you update all the graphic drivers on your computer and let us know if it helped?

This is what I did.

  1. Create a text file in Notepad or TextEditor.
  2. Enter names one after the other in the document.
  3. Save the file.
  4. Drag the file on to the repeat grid containing text elements in Adobe XD.

Thanks,

Preran

Hey Preran great suggestion.

Updated the geforce 730 drivers to version 430.39 but I'm afraid that didnt help.
Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks

Because it is working on your friend's computer but not yours, I am running out of reasons as to why this is happening. This isn't an issue I have come across on this forum, so I have nothing to go by.

I would suggest getting in touch with us directly using this link Contact Customer Care The tech support team can do a deeper investigation to see what could be going wrong.

Meanwhile, the only obvious solution is to replace text by typing it manually. I know I am stating the obvious.

Thanks,

Preran

Just to be sure, which OS are you on, and which version of the OS?
