When I pick up the color with a dropper, I pick up a little lighter color. Since there is no detailed setting like Photoshop, what should I do in this case?
Now try uninstalling and then installing XD app.

I have the same problem, and App design without a working color picker is not really fun
I have the same problem. Has been working fine for months, but now I got this instead.
Couldn't seem to find the solution anywhere.
Win 10. Ver. 1709
well I had that problem for about a year and was getting frustrating using the color picker.. well I clicked on the Point Sample and did not choose 3x3 or 5x5 just the normal one and it was current layer.. well i clicked "All Layers" and I finally worked.. Literally just now.. Now I am using Adobe PhotoShop Elements 12..but that might help in any of the PhotoShops..let me know if it works for you..
I'm not sure what you mean?
Same Issue here
Using Windows 10 build 18362. Quadro P620
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble using a color picker in XD. I would like to know a few more details like: -
Please let me know if you have any issue with this. I'd be happy to help.
Awaiting your response.
Hai @HARSHIKA_VERMA am facing the same issue i dono what to do now. am getting annoyed whenever i need for color picking tool. Please help me out.
am using macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7
XD version: 188.8.131.52
Sorry to hear that you are facing trouble with color picker in Adobe XD. Could you please confirm if this is happening with all the files or with a specific file? I would request you to please update the graphic card drivers. Please visit the manufacturer's site to check for and apply the latest updates to graphics drivers. Let us know if that helps.
Happening with all files including new ones.
Literally just updated to the latest nVidia drivers, version 436.48. My video card is a GeForce RTX 2080.
This issue doesn't happen with any other UWP app that has a color picker (also just checked the XAML Control Gallery and the ColorPicker sample works as expected). Looks like XD uses a custom color picker, so it doesn't appear to be a generalized UWP problem.
Hope that helps narrow down the problem because the app is very difficult to use without being able to design with colors properly.
Thank you for sharing the details. In order to proceed further, we will need to investigate the log files from your machine. Please generate log files using the information provided in this document <https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html> After the files have been generated, upload the files to a shared location such as Creative Cloud, and share the URL with me over a private message. Please send the URL of this forum post for reference. To send a private message, please see the instructions in the attached screenshot.
Let us know if you face any issues with this. We would be happy to help.
I have the same problem!
Did you find a solution ?
It is very painful
No resolution yet. Haven't heard back from Adobe support after sending the log files.
Okay I find myself really stuck on my projects. It's completely crazy this situation.
Any update on this. Having the same exact issue.
nvidia drivers are updated
I am disgusted and angry. I reinstalled my pc to fix the problem.
It did not work, the palette under XD does not work.
Always the same bug !!!!
We are sorry that you are facing trouble. We have a similar discusion going on here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/Adobe-XD/Color-picker-picks-up-the-light-color-in-Adobe-XD-in-macOS-1....
This is the bug that the team is tracking with apple. Please try the workaround solution mentioned in the above mentioned post. Let us know if that helps.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, these are 2 different issues. The Japanese user is having issues with color profiles. Also, I am using a windows machine.
My issue is that the color picker isn't showing black which is unrelated to color profiles.
The first image shows how my color picker looks currently. It should look like the 2nd image below this.
How is this still broken nearly two years later? I'm using win10 and have the same blown out color picker.
I had the same issue. I'm using an Nvidia Geforce 1070ti with the latest nvidia driver.
My issue was that the nvidia driver was faulty. I checked it by disabling it in the device manager.
After I confirmed it was the Nvidia driver at fault i removed it using DDU utility (Just google it) normal uninstall won't work.
Than i installed the latest Nvidia driver from nvidia website and it worked!
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. The team is aware of the issue and is working on it to fix it. You may see the improvements in the future releases of XD.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I've something more to bring for the help.
This message is very important because I think the dev team can isolate the problem easier.
In adobe Xd on Mac, yes the eyedropper works wrong with lighter colors.
BUT, in illustrator, when you pick a color of on object wich is in a symbol, the color will be wrong, way lighter. If it's an object that is not linked to a symbol, the color is perfect.
When you pick a color with RGB = 0 0 255, 255 0 0, 0 255 0, 255 255 0, 255 0 255, 0 255 255, the eyedropper is correct.
Another point : in illustrator, if you pick the background color, it is lighter.
And with Photoshop ? The eyedropper is correct except for the background color outside the artwork. In this case, it is darker when picked.
I have also made some tests on adobe XD.
Start color : RGB = 100 255 255, first eyedroppper : RGB = 111 255 255, second eyedropper : RGB = 122 255 255. It seems to be linear. No matter if R or G or B starts with a 100, every eyedropper adds 11 to his value.
So when a value is at 255, it cannot be lighter. But, when a value is at 0, it is not affected by the problem.
This exposed me something. If 0 does not go up, it could try to go down. So i tryed this :
Start color : RGB = 10 255 255, first eyedropper : RGB 7 255 255, second eyedropper : RGB = 4 255 255.
Start color : RGB = 50 255 255, first eyedropper : RGB 57 255 255, second eyedropper : RGB = 65 255 255.
Start color : RGB = 40 255 255, first eyedropper : RGB 45 255 255, second eyedropper : RGB = 51 255 255.
Start color : RGB = 30 255 255, first eyedropper : RGB 32 255 255, second eyedropper : RGB = 35 255 255.
Start color : RGB = 20 255 255, first eyedropper : RGB 19 255 255, second eyedropper : RGB = 17 255 255.
Start color : RGB = 25 255 255, first eyedropper : RGB 25 255 255, second eyedropper : RGB = 25 255 255.
It means that when a value is higher than 25, it goes up, when it is lower than 25, it goes down. and the more you are far of 25, the fastest you jump to another value.
Let's focus on Red value of RGB :
start = 26
first eyedropper = 27
second text from 24 :
24 seems to be stable as 25. 23 too.
Third test from 22 :
start = 22
first = 21
So this is no longer a linear transformation. In fact the changing value is accelerating then decelerating. no matter if it is going lower or upper. (See the linked file).
So, on adobe XD, near 24, 0 et 255 it is stable. but in the middle of these, the value is changing a lot faster.
As a conclusion, I've tried it on illustrator when I pick a color in a symbol. And it is not the same at all. No mathematical function can be linked to the values. It is not random but poorly comprehensible. I have to conclude that on adobe XD on a mac, there is a real developping problem. But for illustrator, it might be display color configuration.
If you notice, there's a slight color variance of the color that gets applied from the color that was picked. Going back to the original color adjusts the applied color again. This can be repeated over and over. The colors picked are not the same as what is applied.
