The attached is from the 'learn' page of XD. It's important because it shows (in Adobe's order) the importance if how it categorizes XD's functionalities. (Maybe this is from a marketing perspective where keyword or highly ranked searched words are the ordering factor).
Still, I would love to see components take center stage. We have enough 'design' capability.
Components and systems are integral to even the smallest of projects. It's ultimately how we end up making/natively coding our visuals (breaking the design into chunks/pieces even if you don't call it a 'component' that is part of a 'system').
More love for componentry on all fronts please Adobe, with more thinking baked in on how we end up building these things.
@Adobe I would love to see how you use XD for the Adobe web platform. You must see shortcomings in how components are handled, or to rephrase, opportunity to improve how you originally envisaged the idea? It hasn't progressed much past adding sub catorgies.
If you surveyed how many people use external tools aligned with XD it would far outweigh the people using XD as thier end to end process. I think that's a petty telling sign that XD feels less out of touch away from it's 'design' capabilty.
Please make components and/or systems more intuitive. This is still an area where it feels your competitors not only have better understanding, but better application regarding it.
Much love!

Thanks for all of the Love!
Those categories are not in order by priority. We consider them all First Class Citizens.
We'd love to hear more details about what new functionality you'd like to see for Components. You're welcome to discus them here, but please also checkout https://adobexd.uservoice.com to vote on existing feature requests, or request new features that are not yet there.
