Copy paste option not working on XD- both Keyboard short keys or Mouse options for my Windows 11 Pro.

  • The version of XD is installed on your machine.
  • Which keyboard are you using, ENG or any other?

HI Harshika,

 

The XD version 56.1.12.1 has been installled woth Adobe Photoshop 24.2.0 . My licesne got expired two days back (03/03/2023) and I got the popup saying that still I can use both application for 4 more days. Still I'm working in both applications. Copy paste working fne in Photoshop but Adobe XD its not working. License renewal in progress going on intrnally.

 

English Keyboard working fine for other applications.

copy-paste work in Photoshop properly.

Hey there

This thread should NOT be marked as resolved, because the problem doesn't seem fixed.

 

I have the same problem here.
I am working on an iMac 2019 (OS: Ventura 13.1).

This problem showed up a few weeks ago for the first time. Since then the copy-pasting-issue comes up at least once a day.

The only way I could fix it temporarily was closing Adobe XD completely and reopen the project.

When I first open the program it works most of the times. Only after a few hours it suddenly stops copying or pasting elements inside the canvas when I press CMD+C / CMD+V

  • Could you please tell us what exactly you're trying to copy-paste? Is it text or an image?
  • Does that happen with any other Adobe application?
  • Would you mind telling us if you're connected to any external monitor?

  • Are you also using the ENG keyboard?

Hi @HARSHIKA_VERMA 

 

Thanks for reaching out!

  • I tried to copy paste elements inside the canvas (text-elements, image elements, groups).
    I didn't try to copy-paste text by double-clicking on a text element.
  • The problem only appeared in Adobe XD. However I have to note that I don't really use copy-paste when I use other Adobe Applications (for example After Effects or Photoshop).
  • I don't have any external monitors connected.
  • I have "Malwarebytes" installed (anti-virus software).
  • I use the swiss keyboard from apple (with numpad). The OS language is "German (Switzerland)"

Hey @HARSHIKA_VERMA 

Small addition to my last post...

 

The copy-paste bug just appeared again and now I tried to copy some text from a text element and it worked.

Only when I try to copy whole elements it fails.

I also tried to copy elements by going through the dropdown menu at the top-left (edit/copy and edit/paste). It failed aswell.
