Design specs - comment feature

How do someone know if there's a comment added to design spec? As far as I can see your forced to click the comment icon far right, but there is no visual marker or type of warning letting me know if the spec file contains comments or not. I checked with several developers both inhouse and externally and none of them knew I had placed comments cause its totally out of sight and mind when there's nothing warning them - like a red icon or a marker somewhere for instance? Or why don't the circle icon show up on the design where it is placed by default? That way people could know about the comment instead of having to guess and click on and off a very hidden comment icon. As it is now I have to tell each and everyone that I have made a comment by writing an email cause they don't click on that icon each time they open a file, cause some times there are no comments and other times it is. Very cumbersome stuff if you ask me.

Neither of them really. Cause I'm not interested in getting noticed on MY own comments as I of course know about my own comments. What needs to happen is that all the collaborators receive a visual cue whenever theres a comment in the file. Or else they will rarely know. The comment icon is so out of sight / out of mind that no one really bothers to open it just by pure curiosity. Also, they need to get access to the whole list of spec files!! The latter is also crucial and it's not possible unless I ship a hundred separate links.
