Dropdown hover nav menu clickable items

New Here ,
Sep 07, 2020 Sep 07, 2020

Hello,

For website main navigation items, if you have a hover state that appears and lists the other areas of the site, is there then a way of making these hover state items clickable and direct the user to those sections of the site?

Apologies if this has been covered previously.

Cheers

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out. You can achieve this using an anchor link, for more information please refer to this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/xd/user-guide.html/ca/xd/help/use-anchor-links-to-create-navigation-link-XD.ug.html

Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.

Hi Rishabh,

Thanks for your response, but that wasn't what I was after. Perhaps I didn't explain it very well, let me try again:

On my websites main navigation, when you hover over an item, I have a drop-down menu listing other pages on the site. Currently, the whole dropdown will only link to the same page as the nav header. Is there a way that all the listed menu items can link to their respective pages?

Here is a link to my artwork file to illustrate what I mean:

If I wanted to say to navigate to the "Supported Living" on the main nav, and on the hover drop-down go to "Mother & Baby Units", I can't. Presently I can only access supported living. All the other links on the hovering drop-down don't work. Do you follow?

I look forward to your response, thanks for your help.

Thanks for sharing more details, Chris! We can use the hover trigger once only, so once we hover on the main nav then on the sub-drop-down menu, we can't have another hover menu as we don't have the feature of Nested hovers(https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/38968075-hover-ins... so instead we can use the tap as the trigger on the drop-down menu.
