Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please try creating a new user profile(https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-...) and check if you are able to launch the app there? Having the same issue, pop- up of Error 5718 after I updated OS. Adobe support told me this is a known issue with Window OS 20H2. Microsoft change a file type (fix) and it is no longer working. The rep said they are working with Microsoft but there are no known fixes. The bug case number at Adobe is XD-124837.
