Error: "Plugin Installation failed" while installing plugins in XD.

Hello,

 

Every time I try to install any plugin it gives error.

Already tried to reinstall XD, followed the tutorial to resolve permission, already tried everything ... The error always persists. Any suggestion?

You might be having a problem with being able to write to the folder. Here are some steps that might get you unblocked:

  1. In finder go to /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/
    If you can’t see Library folder because it’s hidden, from the Finder menu, select the “Go” menu and choose “Home”, or select <username> from favorites in Finder than select “view” and choose “Show View Options”, check “Show Library Folder” option form view options, now you should be able to see the Library folder in f

Hello, thanks for the reply!

 

It`s work now!

 

I created the plugin folder and now it works!

 

I believe the bug was that I have 2 Adobe XD folders in the path.

An

~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe.XD

~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Adobe XD

 

The right thing was to create in Adobe/Adobe XD

It happens for "Rename it " and "Undraw" and few others. and the link you have shared above is for Mac OS, but I use windows. That link will not help me.

Hey,

Did you get any solution regarding the Code:errno:5 ? Since all i can see is how to fix it in Mac OS and not in Windows OS ! It is really annoying now !

Hey,

Could you please send a solution for Windows OS and not Mac OS , everywhere I see is how to fix it in Mac OS ONLY ! I have tried reinstalling it but the issue is still occuring !

Hey,

I had big problems too, with Windows and I resolve it!!!!

1º Disable your Antivirus

2º Close all programs Adobe in task manager.

3º  Press Windows+R key  and write %temp% and enter

4º Clear your temp folder files, everything!

5º Now open Adobe Xd and install the plugin

I had the same issue in Mac OS and tried the steps given and it worked.

I disabled antivirus (Sophos what I use).

Hi there,

 

When I try to install a plugin I get the following error:

I have tried uninstalling and then installing my XD and it is up-to-date.

I have also checked the permissions and there are no discrepencies there.

 

Any help please?

Hi, could you please explain how you created this plugin folder? I tried to create a new folder in Library>Application Support>Adobe>Adobe XD and name it "Plug-ins" but that didn't work. Any help would be well appreciated!
