Fixed position with side bars or side navs?

New Here ,
Sep 19, 2018 Sep 19, 2018

I was hoping this update would answer some questions I've had about fixed elements and viewport height in terms of elements other than a top navigation bar or a footer.

1. It's extremely frustrating to not be able to have a side nav or side bar be a fixed position. Or have a fixed position object be outside of the viewport. Has anyone found a work around?

2. I just wish that there was more customization with fixed elements. For example "fixed until 2,400px" and then it drops off. Maybe i'm asking for too much? Again let me know if this is something you have also run into problems with/ found some sort of solution.

I'm pretty new to XD but so far the ease of use compared to photoshop has been well worth it. And I'm a big fan of sharing assets for easy dev handoff. This is the one complaint I've had thus far!

#1: Any element can be a fixed position. So you should be able to create a fixed side nav (but it will always be fixed as you scroll).

#2: There is no control over when elements start or stop being fixed based on scroll position. That's a good feature request that you should put on https://adobexd.uservoice.com Search to see if it's already there and upvote it, otherwise create a new feature request.
