Header menu with links

Hello,

I want to proptotype a website wich has a header menu (always visible). As any repetitive element, I've put the menu inside a symbol.

The problem is that the links I make inside the symbol doesn't work on the other instances of the same symbol.

Right now I have to link the menu options to diferent pages in every menu instance of the symbol.

Is there a way to link the menu options only once inside the symbol?

I think it's not possible. Symbols don't contain links.

It is really bad if th XD can't do something as basic. Only solution would be with the overlay option, and in that case I can't use an always visible menu.

It kind of works if you copy and paste a symbol with lined wires within the Prototype view

It works but very "kind of works".

It's better than nothing, but if I add a new button or change the link in one of the existing buttons, the symbol doesn't update!

Seems the developer team of XD is very busy choosing the flavor of thei coffee instead of doing useful and basic improvements to the software.

Yea, this is friggin crucial, especially on large projects... This is my first project with XD and I just found this out...ugh. Figma does this seamlessly.
