Hover effects are only animated on mouse of, not on

To wrap it up simple:

For example I got a line that is hidden by default and I want it to "grow" to the right (for underlining a word for example). On hover the line just appears out of nowhere, only when I put the mouse somewhere else the line animates smoothly.

Is this intended?

What am I doing wrong?

In the prototype settings I set it to autoanimate for both states to the other.

Would be great if somebody can explain how I can achieve this.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. This generally happens because of the component container size(Hover area). Please try reducing the container size and check if that makes a difference.

Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.

Thank you very much for your reply.

But what do you mean to "reduce the container size"?

The font should have that size, how do I make it smaller without changing my layout?
