How to create a new component library file from existing components in another file in XD?

We currently have bunch of designs and components in a main design file that we've been working in. We want to be able to take all of those components out of this main file and transfer them to their own file which would result in a component library file.

I'm not sure the best way to go about this while ensuring any of the transfered components stay connected to the components in the main file we are desiging in.  Is this even possible?

Thanks for any help!

Hope this helps.
