How to update character styles in XD?

Is the only way to update a character style to right click and edit it that way?

I'd like to be able to change one of the instances of the file, and then 'redefine' the style... similar to InDesign.

Hi @user19860331, if I'm not missing something, as I see it's not possible to edit an instance and push that change to the character style. You can add alternative styles after edit by right clicking and adding at a new style. I found this video about almost everything to check about styles: https://youtu.be/EoOY0slZPek
