In my shared prototype link random visual elements disappear such as shape color fills and lines

Hello Adobe XD friends,

In my shared prototype link, random visual elements disappear such as color fills and lines.

Screenshot from prototype shared link, below:

Some of the horizontal and vertical lines for the specs are missing and most of the color fill for the pie chart is gone.

I've tried the following to troubleshoot:

1) Updating the shared link

2) Creating a new shared link

3) Duplicating the XD file and repeating steps 1 & 2

4) Re-installing the previous version 13.0.12

5) Installing the most up to date version again version 13.1.32.8

6) Restarting my computer

As a temporary workaround to share my file:

- Created PDFs and sharing the link via Dropbox

- Another separate issue, I get the following error message in Acrobat Pro DC:
"The dimensions of this page are out-of-range. Page content might be truncated."
(My current workaround for this error message — splitting the content of a long artboard into two to three artboards and then exporting each separately as PDFs. Then using Acrobat Pro DC to combine the separate PDF files into one document)

Thank you for any help!

Neil

Hi Neil, sorry for this unexpected behaviour, could you please share the link of the prototype with us so that we may have a better understanding of it.

I see that you have already tried the basic steps here, could you please try a different browser or a machine to check the prototype? I would also like to know if everything appears fine in desktop preview.

Thanks,

Atul_Saini

Hi Atul Saini,

I tried opening the link in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox and experienced the same problem.

For privacy reasons, I duplicated the original XD file and deleted most of the content of the artboard experiencing the issue. I also deleted seven other artboards.

I created a new link with the duplicate file, and again some of the colors, as well as, some of the horizontal and vertical spec lines are still missing.

(scroll down past all the white space towards the bottom to see items in question)

Here is a screenshot of it working properly in the preview window:

However, I did experiment with moving that content towards the top of the artboard. When I updated the link, everything showed properly.

I wonder if it has something to do with the positioning (currently at y = 10691).

Thank you for looking into this!

Neil

Thank you for the information. Would it be possible for you to upload your file to a shared location such as Creative Cloud or Google Drive and share the URL with Atul over a private message? To send a private message, click Atul's profile picture and use the Message button.

Thanks,

Preran
