Hi there, I am new to XD so maybe this question is silly.

I want to increment and decrement a counter by pressing either the increment or decrement button.

I have wached several tutorials on animated couters but they run from begin to end whilst I want to step by one or even 10 incerements up and down.

anny suggestions

Within the component would be my recommendation.

A tip in addition to what Chris said - make sure the +/- buttons within the component are groups, don't make them nested components, or you won't be able to point them to different states of the whole counter component.

You need to create this as a component. Then for each step in your stepper, create a new component state. Once you create a new state, make the needed changes, filling in element, updating a number, etc. Repeat this for all the steps you need. Once you have all the visual states created, switch to Prototype mode and wire the increment and decrement buttons. You will need to do this for each step. It is a bit cumbersome, but it works.

Hi Chris, thanks for pointing in the right direction.

I have one more question, are the increment and decrement buttons included in the Component? or seperate?
