Library components take on the assets/properties of my current project?

Is there a way to maintain a master list of elements that can be imported into a project.

Yes - those are components in libraries.

So my question is, can I bring in a component from a library, let's say it's a store item. That store item component has an image, name and price. When I bring it in to my current project, I have defined "Item-Name" as Helvetica, bold, 14, black.

Is there a way for a component to inherit the styles from my current project?

Thanks much for your help!

Hi docboy52,

Thank you for contacting us, Well as you mentioned is correct - those are compoents in libraries, by dragging dropping the components from library, it just inherits the component[ which will become linked component]- after that you can add color and character styles of the component to the asset panel, but those will not act as a linked color or character styles.

Hope it helps,

Regards,

Ashwini.
