Major component bug! Instances can't be edited.

Component instances are all of a sudden locked without actually being "locked". They have a red border and nothing inside can be edited. Right clicking and trying to "Reset to Main State" doesn't work, nor does "Edit Main Component".

What is happening here and where is the documentation for the new "main component" update?

This example is a component that contains a text field and an input component. I edited the text and changed the state of the input component and it was immediately locked.

Hi Jay,

We're so sorry for the delay in response. I was unable to reproduce this on our end, so could you please share a few more details like:

  1. The version of XD and the OS.
  2. Is this happening on a specific file or multiple files?
  3. A small video of the workflow and what exactly is happening at your end.

We're here to help, just need more info.

Regards

Rishabh

I got the same thing going on. XD on MacOS, place a component inside another component and the component inside the component becomes locked an uneditable.
