Page numbering in XD

Hi - first-time post so forgive me if this has been asked. I did a quick search but didn't see anything.

I'm wondering if XD will auto-number your artboards (ex Artboard 1 of 5) and update it if artboards are added or removed.

One additional level of complexity - I would need this text to be printed on the artboard itself. We use XD across UX/UI and our wireframe functional specs are exported as PDFs and sometimes printed to make it easier for the engineers to move back and forth between sections as needed. And as projects unfold and more artboards are added we don't want to worry about going back and renumbering pages. This is where the auto-numbering will come in handy.

Thank you!

D

When you start a new project and choose the size it has a 1 next to it for example iPad - 1. If you alt drag to create a 2nd artboard it will automatically be called iPad - 2, iPad - 3 and so on. If you use the Artboard (A) tool to drag out an artboard it will be called Artboard - 1, dragging out a 2nd will be called Artboard - 2 and so on.
If you export them out as a single PDF there will be nothing to indicate which page is which based on names.
If you export them out as multiple PDF's the file

If you export them out as multiple PDF's the file will be named as the artboard was.

So from your comments I would say XD has everything you have asked about except for the printing of artboard name onto the artboard itself on export.

Oh and no, if you have 4 artboards and you delete artboard 3 you'll be left with artboards 1, 2 & 4.

Hi Dennis,

Welcome to the Adobe XD community and thank you for reaching out. As nicely explained by Sjaani regarding the artboard numbering. If you would like to include page number in your artboard. You may use this plugin callled " Page No".

For example:

page no plugin.png

We would also request you to please submit your feedback here: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/19006318-artboard-...

and upvote the request to add your voice.

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harshika

Is there anyway to style these page numbers without having to click individually on each page number?
