[Prototype]-Auto Animate not working on 3 artboard connected in XD.

Community Beginner ,

I am trying to animate between 3 art boards. Each art board has 4 text objects on them.

When I connected the first 2 artboards, the auto animation worked fine, the text bojects moved as expected.

When I connect the 3rd artboard, the 2nd & 3rd animates correctly but the first to the 2nd suddenly stop working, it just transitions instead even though the connection is set to animate and even though it worked perfectly correct beforehand.

This has happened to me twice now, its very irratating because to fix it, it appears I have to delete the artboard and start again.

If anyone has had a similar issue please let know and also, if you were able to figure out why it does that.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and using Adobe XD. Would you mind sharing the screenshot of your prototype mode with all interaction? What is the OS and XD version of your machine?

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi Harshika

That would be a lot of screen grabs to explain the issue.

I just created a simple project to emulate the problem, however it works on that project and I am unable to recreate it in that simple project.

I am curious as to how XD groups objects together animating them because I thought it was based on the object name, however the object name is different on each of the pages and I tried changing them yet it still worked. Is the an ID for each object that is hidden which the engine is using, if so, this would ake sense. However, how is that ID determind and with various copying and pasting, can this be a reaosn why on a bigger project the auto-animate fails?

I am happy to do a screen share and show you the issue.

Thank you for replying so quickly.

I would be happy to do that. However, we are unable to take a screen share on Community for that you can get in touch with our support team using this link:

However, If an object has a match both in terms of its layer name and its group, attributes are animated. For a comprehensive list of supported properties and transitions, read Object properties. Please see this article for more info: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/xd/help/animate-prototypes.html

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harshika

Something like this is happening to me right now. And it makes NO SENSE because I literally did an "alt + drag" so the new element is a copy of the original one. The original one animates correctly. The second one just does a dissolve. No matter what I do, deleting and recopying, etc, it will not transition the same way as the original.

See how the left two animate correctly, yet the EXACT COPY of the first (Seen on the right) does not animate correctly.
