Realtime collaboration and Saving a document

New Here ,
Dec 03, 2019 Dec 03, 2019

Hi XD team!

I absolutely love that realtime collaboration is now part of XD.

However, as someone who habitually saves their document quite often - when working on the same document (eg. a design system) my teams find that having to constantly 'accept changes' to the document when someone cmd + s to be disruptive to their workflow.

My humble suggestion (if possible) would be to somehow make it less intrusive to accept changes to the document. eg. a notification cue on the side away from the artboard (eg. XX has saved the document, refresh?), or automatically update the document whilst we work or eliminate accepting changes and be able to see in realtime edits to the document while we work.

Thanks, XD team <333

Hi Morgan,

Thank you for getting this to our notice.

I tried this reproducing this issue, but I couldn't from our end.

This situation arises when we don't enable the "Enable Coediting" feature. Could you check if you have enabled that feature? Also, only the owner of the document can enable this feature.

The changes made by the users will not reflect on other user's machines when the coediting feature is disabled.

If I understood you're incorrect, feel free to revert and we can work on it.

Regards,

Rajesh KN
