When installing Adobe XD (having created a packaged app), the icon for the application only appears for the user account that ran the package installer. What settings are needed (or hack) so that the icon will appear for any account that signs into windows 10?
I can copy the shortcut via the command "explorer.exe shell:appsfolder" and add it to the start menu folder, but then I end up with two icons in the start menu rather than one.
Do I need to package the app differently?
I checked with the team and this was their response.
This is an expected behavior as XD uses a different kind of installer. The workaround suggested is to deploy XD package using SCCM or any other central deployment tool’s system account then XD will be available for all user accounts.

Hi bjjeffery,
Did not quite get your question. Are you using an enterprise or team license for Adobe XD?
Does the XD icon not appear for all instances of installed applications using the packager?
Thanks,
Preran

Hi Preran.
The package will install without error via a local user account. The test machine is joined to a domain and when a domain user signs in the icon is not shown for that user.
If I make a shortcut from the icon in "shell:appsfolder" and copy that into the traditional startmenu folder, the icon appears and the program can load without issue on the domain account. But it only appears if I do this.

Would this also be the case if I installed as a audit mode administrator before sysprep?

We have requested the Enterprise team to have a look at this post. Stay tuned.
