Select an artboard and it's in the properties panel on the right-hand side, under SCROLLING (which needs to be set to Vertical)

It does not take the whole width instead it is trying to fill the vertical axis. So in this prototype, the clients can not see details. I also had this project in the older xd version and it was exporting the things fine as you can see here: Adobe XD CC
