Social Posts Workflow - Photoshop - Invision

New Here ,
Jan 07, 2020 Jan 07, 2020

Hello,

I'm looking for social media workflow tips form other designers.

My team and I are designers that work mainly on social posts for clients. We don't want to use Canva (because we want all the features of Adobe). We create multipost artboards in Photoshop (18 -1080x1080px) and "generate" the assets automatically. Then we upload the 1080 x1080 post images to Invision for copywriters to add copy and then they share the project with the client to get feedback. The account manager then can download images directly from Invision to later post on the platforms.  We have tried several social scheduling (buffer/Hootsuite) platforms was too complicated from an artwork approval point of view.

InVision is great because you can see all the posts as they would look in Instagram (eg Insta 9), but you can't upload MP4s or show that it's a multi-image post.

Can XD fix this workflow issue? Create, review, export?

Hi there,

Welcome to the Adobe XD Community!

Thank you for reaching out & using Adobe XD. Yes, XD could be used for this use case. Create the social graphics, each on their own artboard.
Bonus: use Responsive Resize if there is a need to create variations of the graphic in different aspect rations/sizes for multiple social platforms. Then, use Share > Development to generate a link where copywriters/stakeholders can review and comment in the browser. Once final versions are ready, designer can simply update the published link, then whoever needs to can download the final versions of the graphics as PNG files.

In addition to that you may also submit your query here: https://adobespark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new as Spark also follow this workflow.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Harshika
