Svg shows in the browser but ends up as a black box in Adobe XD

I'm using Adobe XD 23.1.32.2 Creative Cloud Sync 4.3.14.8 on a MacOSX Mojave. I have to use a set of svgs for icons. They look fine in any of the browsers. However, when I import them into XD, they are all black. They even open up in Adobe Illustrator and they look fine. I tried to save them from Illustrator to svg again and they are still black. I used all the options. Can anyone please help? I just want them to show up in XD without being black boxes. I have seen fixes where they edit each svg file, but there has to be an easier way to fix this.

Does this apply to all SVG files, or some of them?
