Text Animation: Sentence appears one word at a time

Hi, 
I am building a prototype for a story telling application, where each board has one sentence. 

Looking for advice on how to add an effect such that the sentence appears word-by-word gradually. This is quite common in PowerPoint presentations, but not sure how to replicate it here. 

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you cmgap for taking out the time to answer this. Unfortunately, I have 172 boards with one sentence each. It is almost impossible for me to have one word in a text box each. But thanks for your inputs.
